Alfa Romeo will unveil a new concept at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, giving the Italian brand a first look at its future design direction. The concept will debut in mid-October, with Alfa Romeo’s press conference scheduled for October 12.

Alfa Romeo describes the vehicle as a “vision for the future” and says it is the car “every Alfista has been waiting for.” A single teaser image shows what appears to be the rear three-quarter view of a low, sleek sports car, although the automaker has not disclosed its body style, powertrain, performance figures or production plans.

What Alfa Romeo’s concept previews

The concept is built around three themes: Italy, sportiness and the color red. Alfa Romeo says those ingredients produce a distinctly Italian and distinctly Alfa Romeo design aimed at looking forward “with ambition and boldness.”

The company also frames the car around driving enjoyment and authentic experiences behind the wheel. That emphasis suggests a sharper break from the crossover-focused products that currently form much of Alfa Romeo’s range, but the concept’s technical details remain undisclosed.

Alfa Romeo’s future model lineup

The reveal arrives as Alfa Romeo prepares to refresh its product strategy under Stellantis. The brand’s U.S. sales fell by more than half between 2022 and 2025, and sales were down 45 percent through the first half of 2026.

Stellantis said in May that it would concentrate on four core brands—Jeep, Ram, Peugeot and Fiat—while the rest of its brands, including Alfa Romeo, would serve regional or historic roles. Alfa Romeo is nevertheless preparing a new compact crossover positioned alongside the Tonale.

Next-generation versions of the Stelvio and Giulia are also expected, though they are not anticipated soon. Engineers are redesigning those models to accommodate combustion engines, according to the source material.

A possible return to specialty cars

Alfa Romeo and Maserati are set to design, develop and build specialty models. That work could produce vehicles in the spirit of the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale and Maserati MCXtrema, although Alfa Romeo has not said whether the Paris concept previews a specific production car.

The concept could instead serve as a design statement for several upcoming models. Its production influence will become clearer when Alfa Romeo shows the full vehicle in Paris next month.
