Porsche is expanding the 2027 Cayenne Electric with a larger options list focused on convenience, comfort and personalization. The electric luxury SUV can now be ordered with electrically operated doors, upgraded massage seats and a choice of 105 exterior colors. Wireless charging is also available in Germany and other European markets, while U.S. deliveries are scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027.

Automatic doors add a new convenience feature

The headline change is an optional electrically operated door system for all four doors. After a short pull on the handle, servo motors open or close the door. Occupants can also control the doors with buttons inside the cabin, through the infotainment system or with the digital key.

The driver’s door can close automatically when the seat belt is fastened or when the brake pedal is pressed. Porsche says the system continuously monitors the area around each door and stops movement if it detects an obstacle or person. The doors remain operable by hand, so occupants can still use them without the electric motors.

Wireless charging arrives in Europe

In Germany and other European markets, buyers can order a wireless charging system for home use. The setup uses a permanently installed ground pad, allowing the Cayenne Electric to begin charging automatically once it is parked in position.

The system transfers electricity at up to 11 kW with approximately 90 percent efficiency. Porsche says the weatherproof pad can be installed outdoors. Motion sensors and foreign-object detection stop the charging process if a person, animal or metallic object approaches the system. The feature is not currently offered in China, and its availability in the United States has not been confirmed.

Massage seats and more customization

Porsche is also adding a new massage function with 4D audio for the front seats. Each seat combines 16 air cushions with six sound actuators, creating five massage programs with adjustable vibration intensity. The 4D audio function can also operate independently of the massage programs.

Exterior customization expands substantially. Alongside the standard palette of 13 colors, Porsche now offers 92 new paint-to-sample finishes, bringing the total to 105 exterior colors. Depending on the selected package, the cabin can also receive additional leather trim and decorative stitching. These updates apply to both the conventional Cayenne Electric body style and the coupe-like Cayenne Electric Coupe.

Price and U.S. availability

Pricing remains unchanged for the 2027 model year. The range starts at $111,350 for the base Cayenne Electric and rises to $170,350 for the Cayenne Turbo Electric Coupe. Those figures include handling and destination fees but do not include optional equipment.

Porsche is already accepting U.S. orders, with customer deliveries planned for the first quarter of 2027. The model-year update gives buyers more ways to tailor the Cayenne Electric while pushing its cabin experience further toward high-end luxury.
