Subaru is marking two performance milestones with limited-production 2027 special editions: the WRX GD25 celebrates 25 years of the nameplate in the United States, while the BRZ ZC15 commemorates 15 years of the rear-wheel-drive coupe. Both models receive model-specific styling and chassis hardware, and both are available exclusively with six-speed manual transmissions.

2027 Subaru WRX GD25 performance upgrades

The WRX GD25 is finished exclusively in World Rally Blue and rides on gold-painted 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza S007 high-performance tires. Improved Brembo brakes with gold calipers sit behind the wheels.

Its most prominent feature is a Subaru Tecnica International carbon-fiber swan-neck rear wing modeled after the wing used on Travis Pastrana’s WRX ARA25L rally car. Subaru also fits stiffer springs, revised damping, and a flexible strut tower brace to sharpen the sedan’s chassis response.

Power comes from the familiar 2.4-liter turbocharged boxer engine, which continues to produce 271 horsepower. The six-speed manual transmission includes an STI short shifter. Inside, Recaro seats use black Ultrasuede inserts with red accent stitching.

2027 Subaru BRZ ZC15 details

The BRZ ZC15 takes a different visual approach. Its exclusive Ceramic White paint recalls the first-generation BRZ, while matte bronze wheels pay tribute to the color scheme used on the 2020 BRZ tS. Red brake calipers and bronze decals complete the exterior treatment.

A black decklid spoiler adds another visual distinction, and a flexible V-bar under the hood increases chassis rigidity. The BRZ retains its 2.4-liter boxer engine, rated at 228 horsepower, and is offered only with a six-speed manual transmission.

Production numbers and availability

Subaru will cap production at 350 WRX GD25 models and just 300 BRZ ZC15 models. The BRZ is scheduled to arrive in early 2027, while the WRX will launch next summer. Subaru says pricing will be announced closer to each model’s on-sale timing.

The editions give Subaru’s two enthusiast-focused nameplates a limited-run sendoff to their respective milestones without changing their core powertrains. For buyers, the manual-only configuration also makes both cars more specialized than the standard lineup.
