Nissan is bringing its E-Power system to the United States for the first time in the 2027 Rogue Hybrid. The new crossover uses a turbocharged gas engine as a generator rather than directly driving the wheels, with two electric motors providing all-wheel drive. Nissan says the Rogue Hybrid will go on sale in the US this fall, beginning with the SR AWD equipped with the SR Tech Package.

The entry-level Rogue Hybrid SV AWD starts at $37,065, including the $1,575 destination charge. The remaining grades arrive in early 2027, while a conventional, non-hybrid Rogue is expected later next year.

How Nissan E-Power works

Although Nissan calls it a hybrid, the 2027 Rogue Hybrid is technically a range-extended electric vehicle. Its turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine charges a 1.67-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery. That battery then supplies two electric motors, which drive all four wheels.

Unlike a plug-in hybrid, the Rogue does not need to be connected to recharge. When the fuel tank runs low, drivers can refuel at a gas station, allowing the gasoline engine to continue generating electricity for the motor system.

Nissan lists a combined output of 225 horsepower. Based on Nissan’s internal testing, the Rogue Hybrid returns 38 mpg combined, with ratings of 36 mpg on the highway and 40 mpg in the city.

2027 Rogue Hybrid design and interior

The redesigned Rogue Hybrid adopts a sharper exterior than the model it replaces. Its front end features a honeycomb grille with integrated LED headlights, while LED taillights are standard at the rear. Nissan will also offer an available full-width LED taillight element.

The SR grade adds its own fascias, trim and gloss-black accents. Buyers can choose from eight exterior colors, along with five two-tone combinations that pair the body with a black roof.

Inside, every Rogue Hybrid includes two 12.3-inch displays and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Depending on trim, the digital instrument cluster and infotainment screen expand to 14.3 inches. The range-topping Platinum adds a 10-speaker Bose audio system.

Cargo space measures 31.1 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 65.9 cubic feet with those seats folded.

2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid price and availability

Nissan will introduce the Rogue Hybrid SR AWD with the SR Tech Package in fall 2026. Other trims follow in early 2027. Pricing for the lineup, including destination, is:

  • Rogue Hybrid SV AWD: $37,065
  • Rogue Hybrid SR AWD: $39,065
  • Rogue Hybrid SV AWD with SV Premium Package: $39,165
  • Rogue Hybrid SR AWD with SR Tech Package: $43,065
  • Rogue Hybrid Platinum AWD: $45,065

Nissan also plans a non-hybrid 2027 Rogue, expected to cost less and arrive later in 2027. The current Rogue with a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder starts at $31,035, and Nissan expects the next model’s pricing to be similar.
